Abrasives are sharp hard materials used to wear away the surface of softer less resistant materials. Coated abrasives have evolved over years. These rolls are offered with a hook and loop backing for a very fast and easy application and removal to the SAND-FLEE® Velcro® covered drum.
The Abrasive papers have zinc or calcium stearate, a soft powdery soap, interlaced with the grit. This lubricates the paper and the surface to make sanding easier. The stearate coating retards loading of the abrasive, so you can use it over and over again with your SAND-FLEE®.
