FAQS
How do I adjust the top (lid), when I am using more than one grit paper?
You should adjust the lid to the highest grit you are using.
The tabletop can be fine tuned relative to the drum by using the lifter bracket (provided). We recommend using 220 grit sandpaper and adjust the lifter plate until the sand paper is just touching the wood. Place a one inch board on its edge and moving it the length of the drum, there should be no rocking at any point along the drums length. The SAND-FLEEŽ works best when just the grit of the paper does the sanding.
What benefits does the SAND-FLEEŽ have over a traditional belt sander?
One of the biggest advantages of the SAND-FLEEŽ is that you will not get burn marks or snipping. The other major advantage is that you have complete control of how much you sand (remove) from your work. Perhaps the most unique advantage is that you can load the machine with multiple grits, so you can do progressive sanding without changing the set up, saving you a great deal of time. The cost of sanding is also an advantage with the SAND-FLEEŽ. Paper can be removed and reused because it uses hook and loop abrasives. Accidental ripping of the paper will not affect the performance.
Where can I get the paper for the SAND-FLEEŽ?
We would prefer you buy your paper from us, however you do have options. We recommend Klingspor paper and provide it on our site. You can also buy directly from Klingspor Woodworking Shop (see Distributors/Retailers).
